The Great American Commute is the collaborative project of Bend-born Portland-based brothers Dylan and Tim Howe. Dylan is a prolific creator of experimental-electronic music by himself and with collaborators under many names including Cplusplus, Portland Compressor, Julius Theory, Action Sports, and his given name (just to name a few). Tim has been writing his own country-tinged songs under the name Vista House since 2016 and regularly lends his bass playing to groups like Open Floor Plan and Cool Original. After many years of seemingly disparate interests in music this newest project finds the duo exploring the now found common ground in their love of music. Together they mix melody with noise, the artificial with the natural and it all just seems to fit.
