Boreen is the recording project of Portland via Oakland songwriter Morgan O'Sullivan. This reissue contains the long out of print Friends along with the criminally overlooked debut full-length, Cartoons all on one tape. O'Sullivan has a way of sonically sidestepping attempts to pigeon-hole or describe his music with buzzwords, so all i can recommend to do is listen and dive into the masterfully home-crafted world of Boreen. Now would be a good time to catch up, as there is plenty more on the horizon.

God I am so amazed by this album, I only discovered orchid when a YouTuber posted his song “lanterns” and I was amazed to I checked out the recent album and I couldn’t get enough. I’m glad I found this album and I can’t wait for my vinyl to arrive carkart_
